Down the barrel

Have you ever looked down the barrel

And stared the angel right in the eye

Steadied your heart, controlled your breathing

And prepared yourself to die

No fear, no panic, just calmness

As adrenaline floods through your veins

Slowing down time, speeding up reflexes

Until one heartbeat is all that remains

Before the trigger is pulled, death is released

Faster than the speed of sound

With only one purpose, only one goal

To put you six feet underground

If you have ever looked down the barrel

And you did all you could to survive

Count your blessing, always be thankful

There are not many who walk out alive
