“You knew my Mommy’s family too?” Hime asked perking up once more.
”I did indeed, for many, many years. You see your family and my familiar, Aiden, were once the closest of companions.” Kaze said fondly.
“Can you tell me some stories?” Hime asked with hope filled eyes.
“I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to tell you about a few of their adventures. You might even know a few of them already.” Kaze said chuckling cheerily, “Now let’s start from the very beginning, when Aiden first met Emma.”
“Will you snails hurry up, please.” Marius shouted obnoxiously, “The Immortals will literally die of old age before we get there.”
“I’m going to kill him long before those monsters get a chance to.” Firenze snarled to an equally irritated Aiden.
“We have to catch him first. And I call dibs on breaking his legs.” Aiden said with a feral smirk.
“As long as I can break his jaw, that’s more than fine.” Firenze laughed at the cruel visual his mind cooked up.
“Now that’s just not nice guys, we’re all friends here, right?” Marius said chuckling beside them, before doubling over as two fists smashed into his gut. “I may have deserved that…”
“Well I certainly feel better.” Firenze said straightening his clothes.
“Me too.” Aiden agreed jovially
“Glad you ladies are done with your mood swings.” Marius said rubbing his sore stomach, “That fuckin hurt, you know.”
“Well we’ve been telling you to shut the hell up and slow down for at least an hour now.” Firenze said evenly, “We can’t keep up with you, and you don’t know where you’re going. You’ve already gotten lost twice.”
“I know, I know.” Marius said exasperated, “But you know how much I hate moving slow.”
